La Chanson Française on May 25

On Friday, May 25, from 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., PSU professor Annabelle Dolidon will present, in French, on La Chanson Française. Dolidon will focus on the evolution of popular French music in the 20th century and its connection to cultural and historical contexts such as periods of war and major cultural shifts.

The presentation includes Powerpoint and Internet support as well as samples from some of the century’s most famous performers. Comments Alliance director Witt, “This is an exceptional presentation which presents fascinating insights. Dolidon speaks eloquently and is easy to understand; the slides assist in comprehension as well, for non-native speakers.”

Tickets are $5 for members; $10 for non-members. Reserve by clicking below. Location is the Fireside Room at FUMC, just adjacent to the Alliance’s Kamm House in Goose Hollow.
