Bastille Day in Director Park, co-presented by the Alliance Française and Pascal Chureau of Brasserie Montmartre, welcomed nearly 6,500 people on Saturday, July 14.
Many of the visitors participated in the raffles run at the Alliance tent. The three Grand Prize winners of the Avanti Destinations ParisVisite trip, the France Rail Passes and the “Romeo & Juliet” Heathman Hotel package — each worth $800-$1000 in value, are Kathleen Butler, Glenn Fenske and Maggie Schneider, respectively. This is the first time that any of the three has ever won a raffle.
The winner of the free Alliance class raffle ($285) is Mirabai Reimuller, and the winner of the French Basket ($175), donated by Hardy Cognac, was Marianne Ryder. Merci to the raffle sponsors and to all who participated.
