Tickets are available now for the Soirée Mardi Gras, the 4th Annual Alliance Gala, February 18 at the MAC. Laissez les bons temps rouler!
The Alliance’s Gala Fundraiser is early this year as we take inspiration from Mardi Gras Carnivals world-wide. The Portland event salutes the New Orleans Mardi Gras as well as the Carnaval de Nice which dates from the 13th century.
Have fun with a great auction experience from the Alliance. Fine wines from the Willamette, unique French properties to visit, French Immersion on the Riviera, great restaurant experiences, and unique finds – these are just a few of the tantalizing items you’ll find at the Soirée auctions. Enjoy the Silent and Live Auctions the night of the event, with an Online Auction to follow.
What About Tickets?
You’ll get it all for $75 ($85 non-members) – an intriguing silent auction followed by an exciting live auction, not to mention entertainment from the vibrante Axé Didé samba dancers, convivial company, great wine, and of course the mouth-watering dinner created by the MAC’s award-winning chef Philippe Boulot.
Splurge for a Patron ticket at $115 for preferred seating. Show your support with a Sponsor table for 8 which includes premium wine service, VIP gifts, and front row seating. (Be advised that these tables go quickly.) Click here to reserve your place at the Soirée, or call the Alliance at 503-223-8388 to reserve by phone.
Sign up by January 31 and you’ll get a complimentary raffle ticket in our Headwaters Grand Prix Raffle — win a $250 certificate for chef Vitaly Paley’s exciting new restaurant at the Heathman. The winner will be drawn the night of the Gala so be sure to be there.
About the Event
Doors will open at 5:30 pm, with wine and hors d’oeuvres served during the French-themed silent auction starting at 6 pm. During the seated dinner, local theatrical luminary Sharonlee Mclean will MC and a professional auctioneer will orchestrate a sizzling live auction with fun things to do, places to go, and LE SHOPPING. Carnival costume and masks are welcome! De rigeur, even.
After dinner, you won’t be able to resist dancing to the swinging sounds of local musicians and hot tunes from our DJ until the lights dim. Click here to see more photos from last year’s Soirée Provençale.
A Memorable Dining Experience from Executive Chef Philippe Boulot
The evening features gourmet New Orleans-inspired cuisine created by the MAC’s Executive Chef Philippe Boulot, a James Beard Award winner and Officier de l’Ordre National du Mérite Agricole. (The French take food very seriously.) The celebrated Chef Boulot will present an unforgettable culinary experience with a New World twist. (Note that a vegetarian option is also available.)
