Bringing Up Bébé Author to Visit Portland

World-renowned author Pamela Druckerman will visit the Alliance in Portland as part of her February tour of select U.S. cities. Druckerman is a Paris-based American journalist and the author of Bringing Up Bébé, exploring the differences in French and American parenting styles. 

A former staff reporter at The Wall Street Journal, her Op-eds and articles have appeared in The New York Times, The Washington Post, the Financial Times, New York Magazine, and others. Druckerman has been featured on the Today Show, BBC Women’s Hour,CBC, CNBC, and Oprah.com

Portlanders will have a chance to meet Druckerman on Sunday, February 17th, 3:30-5:00 p.m., and hear her thoughts on parenting issues and styles. Signed copies of her new book, Bébé Day by Day: 100 Keys to French Parenting, will be available for purchase at a 10% discount, through a partnership with Powell’s Books.

$5 for Alliance members; $10 for non-members. Registrants will then receive info by email on how to reserve (optionally) signed books as well for distribution at the event. (PS to parents: make this a “Parents Night Out,” without the children present.)
