For the serious –– or just very enthusiastic –– wine lover, the French Wine Scholar program offers a 12-session course on French wine.

Join Sommelier Maxine Borcherding for 12 fascinating weeks of French wine, its history and yes, lots of wine tasting, as she takes you on an arm-chair journey through the storied wine regions of France!

Classes are held Sundays from 2-5 pm at the Oregon Culinary Institute, 1701 SW Jefferson Street, Portland. The series runs September 18 to December 12, 2016 (excluding the Thanksgiving weekend.)

Tuition is $895 for the full series, with a $100 discount for Alliance members. Students may also opt to just study a particular region for $60. Click here for more information and to sign up.
