    French on the Go, the 4 week drop-in workshop series, continues this spring with new offerings to liven up your French language skills. Each week explores a different topic or theme and are offered as drop-in workshops ($28) or the bundle of four ($105). The next series of workshops begin May 10, 2021.

    french pronunciation for beginnersFrench Pronunciation for Beginners

    For Edito 103-106, A1 level

    Saturdays 10:30am-12pm

    Do you need help with French pronunciation or understanding spoken French? In this workshop, primarily in English, you will have an opportunity to understand in depth the most common challenges that face English speakers regarding French phonetics. Practice pronunciation as well as orthography (spelling) to better understand the relationship between the spoken and written word. Prior to  the workshop, you will receive all necessary class materials. Print or download materials, in advance, to have available for each workshop. Technology for this class will be kept at a minimum to allow more time for practice and discussion. This class is open to students levels Edito 103-106.

    This workshop is taught over 5 weeks.

    Get excited, the Season 2 will be released on June 11! This summer we will continue this popular workshop with the sessions around new season. 

    Join us to explore the hit series Lupin about a modern-day gentleman thief! During this entertaining series of workshops, we will discuss the plot and themes, learn useful expressions and words, and discover excerpts from the beloved novels by Maurice Leblanc. Please watch the episode prior to attending the workshop.

    Spring 1: April 14 - May 12

    Workshop 5: We will talk about Chapter 5, in which Assane travels with his family to Etrétat and the series reaches a spectacular climax.

    Train your observation skills and share your love of art. In this highly interactive workshop Elene will be guiding you through discovery of the two or three artworks per session. Just like in the museum!

    balletA Brief History of Ballet

    B1/B2 level

    Calling dance lovers and arts enthusiasts alike! In each workshop, discover the history and origins of this beautiful art form, and learn more about the different styles of ballet (Classical, Romantic, Neoclassical, Contemporary). We will discuss classics such as Swan Lake and Giselle and admire the craft of legendary choreographers and dancers. We will also learn some basic steps of classical ballet.

    Street parking on SW 20th St. facing the Kamm House is limited. Free parking is available in Lot B at SW 18th and SW Columbia. Please obtain a parking pass from the office.

    After 6 pm weekdays, students may park in the Willamette Dental lot at SW 20th and SW Jefferson as available.
