Music Workshop For Kids

Join us for a unique workshop in-person at the Alliance that combines music and French language. We offer two workshops: for children aged 3 to 5 and 6 to 12, aiming to encourage self-expression through music and language.

Each participant will have the opportunity to participate in creation of a song through reflections on their own personal anthem.

In this workshop, we will start by preparing the body and voice with introductory exercises and a word association game. Then, the children will reflect on their qualities, passions, desires, dreams, and values, in group for the younger ones (3-5 years) and in writing for the older ones (6-12 years). Each child will compose a phrase for their personal song (three words for the younger ones, a few sentences for the older ones). We will assemble these phrases to create a collective song that we will learn to a known melody, adding a chorus written by the teacher. If time permits, we will create a small dance with choreography.

Your child should wear comfortable clothing that allows moving freely. Participation is free but registration is required. Due to the very limited space, please register only if you are certain to attend. Please arrive 5 minutes before the end of the workshop to pick up your child and watch their mini performance.
