<product_title><![CDATA[Online masterclass: Explore Mont Blanc: a guided exploration of the Mont Blanc terroir through scent]]></product_title>
<product_content><![CDATA[Sulékó invites you to rediscover the richness of Mont Blanc — its glaciers, forests, and valleys — a complex ecosystem overflowing with olfactory treasures. Join us for a fragrance masterclass and let Mont Blanc awaken your senses. Following a brief introduction to the formation of the Alps, Anastasia Sokolow invites you on a sensory journey into the heart of Mont Blanc—not only its majestic peaks, but also its glaciers, forests, alpine meadows, and valleys, where a rich and layered ecosystem unfolds into a multitude of scents. Guided through photographs from her favorite treks, you will travel across the landscape and gradually uncover the richness and diversity of its flora and natural environments. To become fully immersed in the sensory world of Mont Blanc, each participant receives a discovery box containing carefully selected scent ingredients and paper blotters. Smell, compare, and explore the scents that shape Mont Blanc’s olfactory identity—from mineral freshness to wooded depth and vegetal brightness. This Scented Trek across Mont Blanc culminates with the discovery of *Albho- in situ, a fragrance created as an artistic interpretation of the Mont Blanc terroir. Through this final olfactory experience, you will discover how scent can translate a landscape into emotion, expressed through the Sulékó language of the seasons. Presented in a handcrafted Limoges porcelain flacon, this creation explores the intersection of botany, place, fragrance, emotion, and artistic craftsmanship. This masterclass is an invitation to experience Mont Blanc in a new light — a living, breathing land whose richness extends far beyond its reputation for alpinism and skiing; it opens a sensory world that each and every one can enjoy. The masterclass will be presented live via Zoom from [Sulékó](https://suleko.com/)’s Showroom in Paris by Anastasia Sokolow. It cannot be recorded. It will last one hour, plus a Q&A session Please sign up by September 30 to allow time for the perfume kits to be shipped to you.About Anastasia --Anastasia Sokolow discovered the world of perfume when she joined the Yves Saint Laurent Beauté marketing team in New York. She then fully immersed herself into this universe, learning about the history of perfume, studying the great masterpieces of French Haute Parfumerie preserved by the Osmothèque Conservatory of Perfume and following high level trainings on scent ingredients and fragrance composition at ISIPCA (the French school of perfumers). She then decided to launch Sulékó, a Perfume House reuniting Perfume and French Artistic Craftsmanship. Her creations were featured in Forbes, FT, Vogue... Anastasia also teaches the Sulékó language of scents through live and online classes. With Sulékó’s masterclasses and Scented Treks, she wishes to unlock the world of scents for anyone wishing to explore. "The world of scents is fabulous and mysterious; it brought a lot of joy into my life; I now wish to share my knowledge and my passion with you and invite you to experience the joy of exploring the world around you with your sense of smell." -- Anastasia]]></product_content>

<product_title><![CDATA[AUTUMN PALETTE: PAINTING THE TREES WITH THE MASTERS]]></product_title>
<product_content><![CDATA[Celebrate the beauty of autumn with an afternoon of art, color, and creativity inspired by some of the great masters of painting. As the leaves begin to turn, join us for a special watercolor workshop inspired by the rich colors and luminous landscapes of the season. Drawing inspiration from the autumn trees and landscapes of Portland, we'll explore how artists such as Vincent van Gogh, Claude Monet, and Gustav Klimt captured the magic of nature through color, light, and movement.. Guided step by step, participants will create their own autumn-inspired watercolor painting while discovering the artistic approaches of these celebrated masters. You may draw inspiration from Van Gogh’s Mulberry Tree, Monet’s Autumn at Argenteuil, Klimt’s Birch Forest, or from your own photographs and memories of autumn. The workshop is not about perfectly reproducing a famous painting. Instead, it is an opportunity to explore different ways of seeing and painting trees, experiment with color and texture, and develop your own artistic interpretation of the autumn landscape. The workshop is led by Isabelle Rastoin Harrison, a French artist living between Paris and Portland, whose artistic practice beautifully bridges French culture and creative exploration. No prior painting experience is needed. Whether you come for the art, the wine, or simply the pleasure of a creative Francophonie-inspired evening, this workshop offers a relaxed and welcoming space to experiment, learn, and unwind. Throughout the event, guests will have the opportunity to enjoy carefully selected wines while painting and discovering the art that inspired the workshop. Wine will be available for purchase separately and is entirely optional—the experience is designed to celebrate art, creativity, conversation, and the pleasures of the season. Join us for a night of color, conversation, and inspiration. The workshop will be led in both English and French, with the artist speaking in the language of each participant’s choice. English and French speakers alike are warmly welcome. Come as you are, bring a friend—or come to meet new people—and leave with a unique artwork and a little piece of van Gogh to take home. Materials are provided.### Isabelle Rastoin Harrison Isabelle Rastoin Harrison was born in 1970, in Limoges, Haute-Vienne, the famous city of porcelain named « La capitale des Arts du Feu ». Living in the beautiful neighborhood, la cité jardin of le Vésinet, all her childhood, she got inspired since she was a little girl by its amazing environment, the architecture, and the gardens. Naturally, she chose to study at l’Ecole Supérieure des Jardins in le Marais, Paris, and worked with the most talented French landscapers, such as Philippe Niez and Gilles Clément. When everything became computerized she preferred to remain a drawer and a painter. Then, she founded « l’Atelier rue Greuze » in 2010, located in an Art Deco building, where all the kids of the 16th, Paris, learned everything about Art and celebrated their birthdays. 🎈Later on, in 2017, she opened the most darling art gallery with a stunning view of the Eiffel Tower: La Galerie du Trocadéro.Currently, she is living between Paris and Portland, her husband being a native from Oregon. ### TICKET PRICING & MEMBER BENEFITS Admission: $41 for Alliance members, $49 for non-members.Discount automatically applied for Alliance members—one of the many benefits of being part of our community. <product_content><![CDATA[Celebrate the final days of summer with an evening of art, color, wine and creativity. As the golden season begins to fade, join us for a special Van Gogh's Summer Sip & Paint workshop inspired by Vincent van Gogh's luminous years in Southern France. Bathed in the warm light of Provence, Van Gogh created some of his most iconic works, including his radiant Sunflowers—a timeless celebration of the beauty and abundance of the season. Guided step by step, participants will recreate Van Gogh's celebrated masterpiece in watercolor while discovering the story behind one of the most recognizable paintings in the world. Along the way, you'll explore simple watercolor techniques that capture the expressive brushwork, vibrant colors, and joyful energy that define his art. This workshop isn't about perfect replication—it's about slowing down, experimenting with color, and embracing the creative process. Throughout the evening, guests will have the opportunity to enjoy carefully selected wines from Provence, the region that inspired Van Gogh during one of the most prolific periods of his life. Wine will be available for purchase, but it is entirely optional—the evening is designed to celebrate art, creativity, and the lingering warmth of late summer, whether you choose to sip or simply paint. The workshop is led by Isabelle Rastoin Harrison, a French artist living between Paris and Portland, whose artistic practice beautifully bridges French culture and creative exploration. <product_content><![CDATA[English:On the occasion of the FIFA World Cup, the FFF and the French Institute are presenting a unique exhibition, hosted by the Alliance Française. Beginning with the seminal 1930 voyage to Uruguay, this exhibition traces the beginnings of the French national team and its gradual rise in World Cup history. Rare images evoke the pioneering era, such as the departure aboard the SS Conte Verde and the 1938 tournament hosted by France, marked by elimination at the hands of Italy. They also bear witness to early sporting triumphs, like the 1958 campaign in Sweden, which saw *Les Bleus* secure their first international podium finish and Just Fontaine set a still-unbroken record of 13 goals. These archives reveal a team in the making, driven by standout personalities and growing ambition on the global stage. The journey continues through the great moments of French soccer, encompassing memorable achievements and pivotal turning points that have shaped the collective memory. From the legendary 1982 semi-final in Seville to the heroics against Brazil in 1986, the photographs illustrate the dramatic intensity and the team's rising momentum. The images culminate in the 1998 triumph, a symbol of a nation united behind its team. Images from the 2006, 2018, and 2022 finals extend this story, featuring iconic moments, world championship victories, and unforgettable matches. The photographs depict a team that has become an international touchstone capable of igniting exceptional public fervor as evidenced by the celebrations on the Champs-Élysées—an embodiment of the bond between a nation and its team. <product_title><![CDATA[Anciennes Chansons de France]]></product_title>
<product_content><![CDATA[Step into a musical voyage through France’s regions, where traditional songs become a map of landscapes, memories, and cultural heritage. This program, presented by Odette Kermorvant-Sellon and the Cercle Français, invites the audience to travel across France through timeless melodies and stories rooted in regional identity. Each song in the program reflects a place, a mood, or a tradition drawn from different corners of France—from Normandy to Burgundy, from the royal courts to village squares. The journey begins with an introduction to the épinette des Vosges, a traditional instrument from the Vosges region ( its American counterpart is the mountain dulcimer). This instrument seta the tone for a cross-cultural and cross-regional musical experience. Throughout the program, brief anecdotes will place each song within its historical and regional context, highlighting how music reflects local traditions, dialects, and everyday life across France. French lyrics will be presented alongside English translations, allowing the audience to follow both the poetry and meaning of each piece. This program offers a warm and engaging “tour of France” through song—an invitation to travel without leaving your seat, guided by music, storytelling, and regional heritage. This is a donation-based event, with a suggested donation of $10. All are welcome to attend, regardless of ability to contribute.### Odette Kermorvant ODETTE KERMORVANT-SELLON was born on the South shore of Brittany in the presqu’île de Quiberon. Later she spent the second part of her adolescence in Charente Maritime where she attended a boarding school, a “lycée” in a medieval town 70 miles North of Bordeaux. She concluded her secondary education at PSU and taught Special Education for multi-handicapped students with Multnomah Education Service District for 15 years. She switched careers and was a Real Estate Broker in Oregon for 35+ years. She became an American citizen in 1987. Her hobbies include singing, playing the Mountain Dulcimer and Hammered Dulcimer, knitting, reading, travelling, and working in the yard. She has lived in Tigard for almost 50 years. Every year, she visits her family and many friends in France. She has been singing with various choirs since 1981. She is a church song leader and soloist, and has performed with local choirs including the Mount Hood Pop Orchestra, for weddings, funerals, and other events. Her first voice teacher was Elizabeth Pharris who taught voice following a long career with the New York City Opera and the San Francisco Opera. Later, Odette studied under Barbara Custer between 2002 and 2019. Odette sang for over twenty five years with Norma Collins, also a student of Elizabeth Pharris. Together, Norma and Odette made up their own arrangements for their twice yearly performances with dulcimers and other instruments.]]></product_content>
