Jacob Kamm House Portland Oregon

The Historic Kamm House in Goose Hollow

The Alliance Française is located in the historic Kamm House in downtown Portland. The Kamm House was built in 1871 by steamboat captain and financier Jacob Kamm and is said to be the only remaining French Second Empire style house in Portland. The Alliance occupies offices and classrooms on the ground floor. We're a half-block up SW 20th Avenue from the Goose Hollow Max station on SW Jefferson, just a few blocks south of Providence Park.

There is limited parking in front of the Kamm House. However, there is ample free parking available nearby in Parking Lot A at 1450 Southwest 18th Avenue for Alliance students and visitors. Look for the Alliance sign and please get a parking permit from the office. Parking is also available (AFTER 6:00pm ONLY!) in the Willamette Dental parking lot at 1933 SW Jefferson St.

Bikes are welcome at the Alliance, and you'll find a bike rack to the rear of the building.
