Sautons à pieds-joints dans la nouvelle année avec des expressions courantes ! Vous voulez pouvoir parler de vos fêtes de fin d'année et votre célébration du Nouvel An, de vos résolutions pour la nouvelle année, ou présenter correctement vos meilleurs vœux en français ? Voici un cours qui vous permettra d'ajouter de nouvelles expressions à votre vocabulaire ; elles sont fraîchement récoltées dans les rues de Lille, dans le nord de la France. Bien que le cours favorise la communication orale, on y utilisera les 4 compétences langagières (écouter, lire, parler, écrire). La pratique comprendra des activités engageantes et du matériel authentique.

19 janvier : Les lendemains de fête : gueule de bois, crise de foie, ou Nouvel An dans la joie ?
Comprendre et savoir repérer les euphémismes et expressions autour de la gastronomie de fête et la consommation d'alcool. Parler des excès, de ses préférences et faire des recommandations (subjonctif, conditionnel). Différencier « nouvel an, nouvelle année » et toutes les expressions en lien.

Instructor: Sarah Idrissi

Sarah Idrissi

Sarah is French with Moroccan heritage. She holds an MA in Literary Translation from the University of Avignon and an M.A in French from Portland State University. From 2010 to 2013, she taught at Pacific University (as a Fulbright FLTA), Portland State, and the Alliance Française, before returning to France. She passed her certification with the French Education Nationale, and has been teaching in secondary education since 2013. She is now on a sabbatical and has been admitted to the École de Traduction Littéraire in Paris. She translates for several French publishing companies and art journals. Her teaching style is student and fun-oriented. She keeps a close eye on individual and collective progression and will tailor the lessons and her approach to the students' needs. Sarah is passionate about many things: Victor Hugo, folklore, bilingualism, her garden and much more.

Parking Information

Street parking on SW 20th St. facing the Kamm House is limited. Free parking is available in Lot B at SW 18th and SW Columbia. Please obtain a parking pass from the office.

After 6 pm weekdays, students may park in the Willamette Dental lot at SW 20th and SW Jefferson as available.
