Core Classes
This beginning Core Classes covers chapters 0-2 of Edito A1. Basic communication is introduced as well as essential grammar and phonetics. Appropriate for beginning students with no or minimal French.

Core Classes
This dynamic Core Classes class combines beginning 103 and 104 into one term by exposing students to content necessary to continue with confidence into Beginner 105. There will be no class on June 21, and so the final class will be held August 23.

This continuing Core Course covers chapters 5-6 of Edito A1. Students learn to speak about daily activities; describe an object; ask about sizes and prices; arrange an outing; make reservations by phone. Grammar includes the passé composé and the verbs pouvoir and vouloir and more.

This is a fast-paced classed offering an opportunity to advance into lower intermediate level twice as fast as a regular class, combining lower intermediate 203 and 204 into one term. This is the last term to study with the Edito A2 book.

This four week workshop will review different verb tenses and moods through drills and conversation while incorporating and recycling vocabulary typically learned in the B1 series.
Week 1: Narrating past events. Students will review the use of the passé composé, imparfait, and plus-que-parfait when narrating past events.
Week 2: Moods and modes (part I): Students will review formation and use of the subjunctive.
Week 3: Moods and modes (part II): Students will continue to review subjective uses, including when to choose the subjunctive or indicative.
Week 4: Conditions and hypotheses: Students will review future simple and conditional tenses, as well as how to speak about hypothetical situations using both.
