Celebrate the beauty of autumn with an afternoon of art, color, and creativity inspired by some of the great masters of painting.
As the leaves begin to turn, join us for a special watercolor workshop inspired by the rich colors and luminous landscapes of the season. Drawing inspiration from the autumn trees and landscapes of Portland, we'll explore how artists such as Vincent van Gogh, Claude Monet, and Gustav Klimt captured the magic of nature through color, light, and movement..
Guided step by step, participants will create their own autumn-inspired watercolor painting while discovering the artistic approaches of these celebrated masters. You may draw inspiration from Van Gogh’s Mulberry Tree, Monet’s Autumn at Argenteuil, Klimt’s Birch Forest, or from your own photographs and memories of autumn.
The workshop is not about perfectly reproducing a famous painting. Instead, it is an opportunity to explore different ways of seeing and painting trees, experiment with color and texture, and develop your own artistic interpretation of the autumn landscape.
The workshop is led by Isabelle Rastoin Harrison, a French artist living between Paris and Portland, whose artistic practice beautifully bridges French culture and creative exploration.
No prior painting experience is needed. Whether you come for the art, the wine, or simply the pleasure of a creative Francophonie-inspired evening, this workshop offers a relaxed and welcoming space to experiment, learn, and unwind.
Throughout the event, guests will have the opportunity to enjoy carefully selected wines while painting and discovering the art that inspired the workshop. Wine will be available for purchase separately and is entirely optional—the experience is designed to celebrate art, creativity, conversation, and the pleasures of the season.
Join us for a night of color, conversation, and inspiration.
The workshop will be led in both English and French, with the artist speaking in the language of each participant’s choice. English and French speakers alike are warmly welcome. Come as you are, bring a friend—or come to meet new people—and leave with a unique artwork and a little piece of van Gogh to take home.
Materials are provided.
