The Alliance Française Scholarship Program is committed to equity and access in language education. Our goal is to ensure that financial barriers do not prevent motivated learners from pursuing their study of the French language and culture. Scholarships are available for both adults and children's group classes.
Thanks to the generosity of our community during our annual fundraiser Gala, we are pleased to offer scholarships for the 2026–2027 school year.
Scholarships may cover either full tuition or 50% of tuition. Awards are allocated term by term to ensure access throughout the year.
Scholarships are offered for Oregon residents and for students from nearby communities in Washington state close to Portland.
The types of scholarships offered and the award amounts depend on available funding. The scholarships listed below may be available each term, subject to funding availability.
Please submit your application during the designated application period. Applications received before the opening date or after the closing deadline will not be considered.
