LOOK FOR THE RETURN
OF THE Soirée Gala.

The Alliance Française would have been pleased to present its 7th Annual Gala Fundraiser, the Soirée Val de Loire, at the Multnomah Athletic Club (MAC) on Saturday, October 10. That was not to be. We hope to present a future gala that honoring  what we had  planned.

Read what we had in mind for the 2020 gala: Enjoy the pleasures of the magnificent Loire at the Gala this year as you enjoy a great auction experience including fine wines from the Willamette and beyond, unique French properties, French Immersion on the Riviera, great restaurant experiences, and unique finds – these are just a few of the tantalizing items you'll find at the Soirée auctions.

You'll get it all for $75 ($85 non-members) – an intriguing silent auction, followed by an exciting live auction, entertainment, convivial company, great wines, and a sumptuous dinner inspired by the Val de Loire and created by the MAC's award-winning chef Philippe Boulot. Show your support for the Alliance Française de Portland with a Sponsor table for eight, which includes premium wine service, VIP gifts, and front row seating. (Be advised that these tables go quickly.)

About the Event

Doors will open at 5:30 pm to visit the French-themed silent auction while you enjoy wine and hors d’oeuvre. During the seated dinner, you’ll enjoy the entertainment, then a professional auctioneer and MC Susannah Mars will orchestrate a sizzling live auction with fun things to do, places to go, and LE SHOPPING! After dinner, you won't be able to resist dancing to French-flavored tunes until the lights dim.

You won't want to miss the silent auction, followed by a live auction. Visit the auction preview site which is updated as items arrive at the Alliance.

A Word About the Organizers

The Seventh Annual Spring Gala is an important fundraiser which benefits the nonprofit missions of the Alliance Française de Portland and its event partner, the French-American Chamber of Commerce of the Pacific Northwest, and is endorsed by Dominique Geulin, the Honorary of Consul of France (Oregon) and Jack Cowan, the Honorary Consul of France (Washington State). The Alliance serves nearly 2000 students per year.

A Memorable Dining Experience from Executive Chef Philippe Boulot

The evening features gourmet cuisine conceived by the MAC’s Executive Chef Philippe Boulot, a James Beard Award winner and Officier de l’Ordre National du Mérite Agricole. (The French take food very seriously!) Note that a vegetarian option is also available. This year's menu honors the regional cuisine of the Val de Loire.
