September Wine Tasting and Seminar

-

Tasting at another Private Residence

Once again, we're thrilled to host our wine series at a private residence, where you can mingle with more fellow wine enthusiasts while enjoying outstanding wines. This will take place in a private home in Portland’s Irvington neighborhood (different from last month -- address shared before the event).

In addition to the tasting, you'll learn about the wines, their origins, and what makes them unique. And, of course, we'll be serving the delicious food you've come to expect at our events.

This month, we will explore a variety of producers from around the country with a “low / high” theme - some lower priced bottles for everyday, and some special, reserve bottles from the same producer. You will enjoy a nice range of both red and white wine and have the opportunity to purchase them at well below retail prices!

We're delighted to welcome back Sébastien Rake of CorksCru Wine Merchants, who will present wines from his importing company, which specializes in small, family-owned European wineries. He will have just returned from France and will be excited to share his latest discoveries.

Raised in Oregon by a French mother and American father, Sébastien spent much of his twenties living and traveling throughout France, Italy, South Africa, and British Columbia, discovering exceptional wines and the people who produce them.

After a brief career in architecture, he followed his passion for wine, building experience across every facet of the industry—from production and hospitality to sales and education. His broad knowledge and engaging presentation style make him a favorite among our guests.
