Taste and Learn: The Red Wines of Winter in Bordeaux

A flavorful journey through the red wines that make Bordeaux a perfect companion for the colder months

From cozy evenings to festive gatherings, these wines bring depth, warmth, and character to every winter table.

Bordeaux stands as one of the world’s most iconic wine regions—renowned for producing some of the greatest wines ever made, yet equally celebrated for offering exceptional value. During this session, we’ll explore what makes its reds so distinctive, how the region’s diverse terroirs shape each bottle, and why winter is the ideal season to enjoy them.

Whether you're a seasoned enthusiast or simply curious, this tasting will deepen your appreciation for Bordeaux and introduce you to bottles that are both timeless and delightfully approachable.

Vicente Pina, Vin de Vin Wine Tasting & Collecting Consultants

This tasting will be led by Vicente Pina, MBA, CSW, Champagne Master, the spirited founder of Vin de Vin Wine Tasting & Collecting Consultants—a company built on the belief that learning about wine should feel more like a good conversation than a classroom lecture. Portuguese by birth but unmistakably wine by vocation, Vicente has spent over 30 years swirling, sipping, studying, spilling and storytelling his way through the global wine and food world. Armed with a sharp palate, a relaxed teaching style, and an endless supply of great anecdotes, he’s the perfect guide for a cozy winter dive into Bordeaux’s bold, warming reds. Le vin entre et la raison sort!
