Lan Su Chinese Garden |

In this immersive French-language workshop, participants will mindfully explore the garden through gentle creative prompts designed to sharpen observation and appreciation of its unique elements—from architecture and landscape to atmosphere and sense of place.
Guided conversations will help you build vocabulary and improve oral expression in French, with a focus on descriptive language inspired by nature, space, and emotion. To support your experience, a curated vocabulary list will be sent ahead of time so you can arrive feeling confident and ready to participate.
The workshop is inspired by "Curious Terrain Explorer’s Deck" created by Jenny Marx and is co-led by Jenny and the Alliance Française instructor, Caren Trowbridge.
After the workshop, participants are welcome to continue the conversation and enjoy refreshments available for purchase at the teahouse.
Lan Su Chinese Garden is ADA accessible, with walls and covered walkways providing shelter from rain and wind.
Please bring: pens and a small notebook or sketchbook.
Recommended French level: A2+
