Find your French voice Apps teach you to tap; we teach you to talk. An app can help you memorize "The sky is blue," but it won't help you navigate a restaurant in Lyon or a meeting with a French colleague. At AF, you get real-time feedback on the nuance of French culture, this only comes from real conversation.
If you’re looking for a new social group, there’s a new social group you can meet. If you’re looking to just improve your French, you can just improve your French. Or you can do both, which I think is really important here too.
One of the things I like the most is the proficiency of the teachers. All of the courses I’ve taken here have been taught by just exceptional teachers, including my current one. She really has a great grasp and understanding of the subject. She explains things; she knows when we’re lost. I mean, she pulls it out of you – she makes you think.
Something I appreciate about learning French at the Alliance is I learn about everyday interactions. Here I'm learning to talk about art, jobs and employment, sports, family relationships and friendship, and history. It reminds me of the joy of learning a new language that I felt in seventh grade.

Street parking on SW 20th St. facing the Kamm House is limited. Free parking is available in Lot A at SW 18th and SW Columbia. Please obtain a parking pass from the office. After 6 pm weekdays, students may park in the Willamette Dental lot at SW 20th and SW Jefferson as available.OFFICE HOURS
