At the Alliance Française de Portland, we offer summer day camps for elementary- and middle-school–aged children. Whether your child is new
to French, already speaks some, is advanced from attending an immersion school, or is a native French speaker, our camps are designed to
accommodate all levels of language proficiency. All camps are from 9:00 am - 3:30 pm.
For all levels: Our camps cater to children with no French background as well as those with more
experience.
Immersion-based: Camps are conducted primarily in French, with personalized support for different levels of French
Interactive learning: French lessons are integrated with activities to make learning engaging.
Small groups: Children are grouped by proficiency and age to ensure they receive the right support.
Join us this summer for a fun and educational experience where your child can build their French language skills and enjoy French culture.

High school students (includes those entering 9th grade as well as those who have just completed 12th grade) who are
advanced French speakers—whether they have attended immersion schools, are native speakers, or have reached a high level of study—can
volunteer as assistants for our younger children's camps. Volunteers will gain valuable skills and enjoy the rewarding experience of helping
younger camp attendees, all while continuing to practice French every day in a fun and supportive environment.
