at the Alliance Française
Annual memberships to the Alliance start at $36 per year for individuals and provide the following benefits:
- Alliance classes are available only to current Alliance members.
- Access to the Culturethèque digital library with a wide range of French language content for adults and children.
- Lifetime 30% off yearly plan with France Channel.
- Discounted tickets for monthly French Premiere screenings.
- Access to free Alliance conversation groups.
- Discounts and privileges at Les Amis, a select group of French-themed businesses, including restaurants, bakeries, wineries and more.
- Use of the Alliance's lending libraries of over two thousand books. Borrowing from both our French and our English libraries is complimentary for current members.
- Access to the Alliance's DVD collection of 550+ "top hits" contemporary and classic films on a searchable IMDb database. The majority are subtitled. Borrowing is complimentary for current members.
- Discounted prices to Alliance French-themed social events such as wine-tastings, dinners, and private film screenings.
- Organization members have options for promoting their service/products in Alliance bulletins.
- Alliance memberships are tax-deductible contributions.
- Please note that Student membership rates are a special service provided only for registered students of high schools, community colleges, colleges, or universities. Proof of enrolment may be required.
Since 2020, the Alliance Française de Portland has maintained its pricing—a testament to our commitment to accessibility. This year, nearly all operational costs have increased significantly, and to keep up while sustaining our programs, a pricing update has become necessary. Beginning January 1st, we will be implementing a cost-of-living adjustment to our general pricing, including memberships and class fees. This update ensures we can continue providing high-quality classes, cultural events, and community experiences that make your membership so valuable.
