Hiking the Chemin de Saint Jacques: Arles & Southwest France

Earlier this year, PSU professors Dan Johnson and Leslie McBride presented on the pilgrimage route, Le Chemin de Saint Jacques de Compostelle, through the vivid photos and touching anecdotes.

On Friday, November 2, they will share more on this fascinating topic, discussing another popular route as well, which originates in Arles and passes through southwest France.

The presentation will cover the history, geography and culture of the two routes, and will include practical tips about food, lodging and what to expect along the way. Come learn about this unique experience, walking a path that’s been travelled for a 1,000 years.

The presentation, in English, will be held in the FUMC Fireside Room, next door to the Alliance, Friday November 2nd from 6 pm – 7:30 pm. Tickets are $5 for members, $10 for non-members. Reserve your space here.
