Children’s Choir Workshop Sunday, March 6

As part of le Mois de la Francophonie to be celebrated this March, the Alliance presents a special, multi-cultural workshop for children ages 7 to 11.

The “Chorale” (Choir) Workshop from 2-4 pm on Sunday, March 6, offers children ages 7 to 11 a fun and relaxed atmosphere for singing songs from all around the world –– Mali, Québec, France–– in French.

Native speakers or beginners at all levels are welcome. At the end of the workshop, the students will perform the songs in front of parents and friends at 3:30pm in a casual concert. Singing with others is a fun experience, a wonderful way to learn French, and a great way to discover other cultures!

The choir will be led by Eric John Kaiser, Paris native and professional singer-songwriter based in Portland. He has taught French singing and music classes at FAIS and ILA in Portland, The French American School of Rhode Island, The International School of Boston, l’Ecole Bilingue of New Orleans, and many others. Eric has performed at the Smithsonian Institute in Washington DC, the De Young museum in San Francisco and the Blue Nile in New Orleans and has released four albums.

Click here to sign up. Snacks and drinks will be provided.
